Hixson
North of the river, ZIP 37343 — ranch and split-level country from the 1960s–80s now deep into renovation age, which makes Hixson one of the busiest dumpster markets in the metro. Kitchen and bath remodels, garage cleanouts, and lakeside-property projects near Chester Frost Park dominate. Hixson has its own dedicated page with local detail.
East Ridge
Tucked against the Georgia line along Ringgold Road, East Ridge's post-war housing stock — much of it 1940s–60s — generates steady tear-out and cleanout work: original kitchens and baths hitting full replacement age, converted carports coming back out, and estate cleanouts as the neighborhood's first-owner generation turns over. Compact lots and shorter driveways make the 10- and 15-yard boxes the local favorites; the small dumpster page covers that class in detail, including how the low 3.5-foot walls make over-the-side loading practical for a weekend crew of two. East Ridge runs its own city services, so street-placement questions go to East Ridge city hall, not Chattanooga's — and the answer is usually quicker there. Delivery prices the same as the core metro.
Red Bank
An independent city inside the metro's core, Red Bank's older bungalows and cottages see constant renovation. Driveways here can be narrow and sloped against the ridge — mention the grade when booking so the driver brings the right truck and boards.
Soddy-Daisy
The metro's northern edge along Highway 27, where lots get bigger and projects get more rural: barn and outbuilding teardowns, large property cleanups, storm-limb debris from the lake winds. Bigger lots mean easy placement; the drive means the outer-ring distance note may apply.
Signal Mountain
Mountain-top homes with mature trees and winding drives. Overhead clearance is the practical issue — a roll-off truck needs 20+ feet, and Signal Mountain's canopy doesn't always offer it at the house. A quick photo of the approach with your quote request saves a dry run.
Ooltewah & Collegedale
The metro's growth corridor — newer subdivisions, active construction, and HOA country. New-build punch-out debris and first-decade renovations drive demand, and builders here often run multi-swap arrangements — a 30-yard swapped fresh every phase — rather than one box sitting full for a month. Check HOA container rules before delivery; several Ooltewah neighborhoods restrict how long a box can sit visible, and a two-minute email to the HOA beats a violation letter mid-project.
East Brainerd
Steady suburban renovation territory along the East Brainerd Road corridor, with 1980s–2000s housing hitting remodel age. Standard driveways, standard boxes — the 20-yard is the local default.
Harrison & Middle Valley
Lakeside and near-lake communities where dock projects, garage cleanouts, and storm cleanup lead the mix. Gravel drives are common; boards under the rails keep the box from settling in soft spots.
Cleveland, TN
Twenty-five minutes northeast in Bradley County, Cleveland is its own market with its own steady demand — and at roughly 200 dumpster searches a month, it's the busiest single community on this page after Chattanooga itself. The mix runs wider than the core metro: industrial-adjacent cleanouts near the manufacturing corridor, older in-town housing renovation around the historic downtown, student-rental turnovers near Lee University, and new construction on the city's growing east side toward I-75. Roofing tear-offs are a steady staple here too — the same weight rules from the size guide apply, and shingles max out a 20-yard box's tonnage before its volume. Outer-ring delivery applies; whatever distance charge exists is quoted in the all-in number up front, like everywhere else. Street placement inside Cleveland city limits goes through Cleveland's own public works department, not Chattanooga's.
Ringgold, GA & Catoosa County
Across the state line but inside the metro's daily orbit — 15 minutes down I-75. Tornado-rebuild-era housing, new construction along Battlefield Parkway, and estate cleanouts near the historic depot. Ringgold has its own dedicated page covering the cross-state details.
A note on the river, the ridges, and delivery logistics
Chattanooga's geography is the quiet variable in metro delivery. The Tennessee River splits the market — a Hixson delivery and an East Brainerd delivery can be twenty minutes apart at rush hour despite sitting six miles from each other — and the ridges do the rest: Signal Mountain and Lookout Mountain addresses add climb time and turn radius questions, while the valley communities load and go. None of this changes your price by itself; it changes which delivery window is realistic. When you call, the address is the first thing we ask for exactly this reason — a same-day promise that ignores the bridge traffic or the mountain grade isn't a promise, it's a guess.
Don't see your address?
The map has soft edges — Fort Oglethorpe, Rossville, Apison, Georgetown, and Sale Creek all get served regularly. Call (423) 529-4933 with your address; if a box can get there economically, you'll get a quote, and if it honestly can't, we'll say so and point you to the directory of local haulers who might sit closer to you.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you deliver dumpsters outside Chattanooga city limits?
Yes — the delivery footprint covers the whole Chattanooga metro on both sides of the state line: Hamilton County communities like Hixson, East Ridge, Red Bank, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain, Ooltewah, East Brainerd, Harrison, Collegedale, and Middle Valley, plus Cleveland in Bradley County and the North Georgia towns of Ringgold and Fort Oglethorpe. Distance can add a modest delivery charge at the far edges, but it's quoted up front in the all-in price — never discovered on the invoice. If your address isn't listed here, call anyway; the map has soft edges.
Does it cost more to deliver to the suburbs?
Usually no, sometimes slightly. Delivery inside the core metro — Chattanooga, Hixson, East Ridge, Red Bank — prices the same. The outer ring (Soddy-Daisy, Cleveland, Ringgold) can carry a modest distance charge depending on the hauler's yard location, typically a small fraction of the rental price. Whatever applies is in the quoted number before you book. The one thing that doesn't change with geography: the size pricing and weight allowances in our cost guide.
Which areas have permit rules I should know about?
The rule that matters most: driveway placement needs no permit anywhere in the metro. Street or right-of-way placement is where rules kick in — the City of Chattanooga requires a right-of-way permit (3–5 business days), and each municipality (East Ridge, Red Bank, Soddy-Daisy, Cleveland, Ringgold) handles its own process, so a quick call to city hall settles it. Unincorporated Hamilton County is generally more relaxed. HOA neighborhoods — common in Ooltewah and East Brainerd — sometimes restrict visible containers regardless of what the city says, and that's worth checking before delivery day.
